Meet Jiana, a young star athlete who recently faced an unexpected challenge during a volleyball tournament in Las Vegas. While enjoying some downtime, Jiana fell on a slide, resulting in two chipped front teeth. A vibrant and beautiful young woman, she recognized the importance of a smile not just from a functional perspective, but also for her confidence. Jiana knew she needed to find experts who could fix her smile as soon as possible.
Advanced Treatment Plan
Fortunately, our Mount Vernon dentist was able to accommodate Jiana right away. Dr. Perry took the lead in her treatment, prepping her teeth and designing two new matching crowns for her front teeth. Utilizing the advanced Cerec machine, Dr. Perry obtained a precise 3D scan of Jiana’s mouth. This technology allowed for the creation of crowns that perfectly matched her natural smile. Jiana opted for a brighter smile, and Dr. Perry selected A2 shade e.max crowns for their natural appearance. After 3D printing the crowns, Dr. Perry glazed them before placing them in the oven to achieve a realistic look.
Once the crowns were cemented in place, Jiana decided she wanted her other teeth to match the new, brighter shade of her front teeth. She underwent an in-house whitening treatment using Pola whitening. This powerful treatment, containing approximately 38% hydrogen peroxide, typically increases tooth brightness by one or two shades. During the two-hour appointment, the tooth bleach gel was applied and removed multiple times, leading to remarkable results. Jiana’s teeth were brought up to the same bright shade as her new crowns, leaving her ecstatic with her new smile.
