More About Dental Crowns

A dental crown covers the top and sides of a severely decayed tooth, giving you a new chewing surface. Unlike traditional crowns, CEREC same-day crowns are created and placed in your mouth during a single appointment. Our specialized technologies allow us to restore your tooth in 1–2 hours rather than weeks with traditional dental crowns. This is a game changer for many people who simply cannot bear to wait three weeks for their tooth to be repaired. CEREC same-day dental crowns afford you more time to spend time with the people you love and participate in the activities you enjoy the most.

The CEREC Crowns Process

We can’t wait to show you in person how CEREC works, but for now, here is a brief explanation of the same-day dental crowns process:

  • Scanning: Digital imaging is used to take impressions without traditional impression putty.
  • Designing: With the help of design software, we create a model of your crown based on your digital impressions.
  • 3D Milling: In about 15 minutes, our machine mills your crown from a ceramic block.
  • Placing: Dr. Perry polishes and places your CEREC dental crown.

We are confident you will love the results!

CEREC crowns can last between 10 and 15 years if they’re well cared for:

  • You must avoid grinding and clenching your teeth
  • Brush and floss every day
  • Keep to your twice-yearly exams and cleanings

It’s so easy to have beautiful teeth in a day with CEREC same-day dental crowns.

Dental Bridges

You may need a dental bridge if you’re missing one or more teeth. Bridges, just like the name indicates, bridge the gap of missing teeth and restore your smile and self-confidence. A dental bridge is a very affordable tooth replacement option, and you’ll be happy to know that most insurance companies will cover this service, partially or fully. If not, we offer financing through Cherry Payment Plans, and we would be happy to explain how that works at your appointment.

We offer several different types of dental bridges at Perry Family Dentistry, and we will discuss which would work best for you. Dental bridge placement typically requires only two visits, and bridges are designed to last many years. Bridges restore function, health, and beauty to your mouth and smile. The many benefits of dental bridges include:

  • Restore your ability to speak, eat, and chew
  • Minimize bite stress
  • Improve facial appearance and shape
  • Replace removable dentures
  • Prevent remaining teeth from moving
  • Improve your smile
